The sprite itself looks good, but shooting the arrow looks kind of flat and stiff. Maybe try exaggerating the recoil of firing the arrow to add some weight and character to the movement.

You are completely right, I spent too much time on those old bones and when it came time to animating the arms I started hacking away at frames like if they had dishonoured my ancestors because I was damn well going to finish it.
